Are You Afraid of Commitment?
Marriage and Goal Getting require commitment. Commitment to the success of each. Without a commitment to the successful outcome of both, they are each likely to fail.
When you get married or take out a loan, you are making a promise to do something. In marriage, you, typically, make a promise to Love, Honor and Cherish the one you are marrying, until death do you part. When you take out a loan, you are making a promise to pay the amount borrowed back, usually with interest on a specified date. You, typically, make an agreement to pay back a certain amount over a certain period of time on specific dates until you have paid the lender back completely.
When you start a goal, you should make the same type of commitment. The commitment to do the actions necessary to complete the goal you have set on a specific date. Like I said in the show, you should set up your Action Plan and create a Measurement worksheet.

After you have created your plan and your measurement sheet, you should create a Goal Promissory Note to enter in an agreement, a commitment with yourself. This is one that I’ve used before:
Accountability Partners & Masterminds
Napoleon Hill believed and wrote in Think and Grow Rich that the two most important things in creating success were:
1. Being part of a Mastermind group
2. Creating Clearly Defined, Written Goals.
He counted being part of a Mastermind group as the most important. Two or more people of like mind, coming together to support one another and help each other grow and prosper.
Find an accountability partner, or Mastermind group to keep you motivated and alert. They will keep you heading towards your goals.
Beware of “Ampires”
Do not hang around negative people that can suck the life out of your goals and dreams. These people are energy suckers! They suck the life out of all of your ideals and goals. Avoid them as much as possible.
Hang around all of the people that want you to succeed.
You are the average of the 5 people you hang around with most. - Jim Rohn Click To Tweet
