Passion, Does It Drive You?
Are you living a Passionate Life? Does Passion Drive You?
I gave a speech for my Toastmasters International Club at work.
You should have a passion for 3 things in your life:
- Labor – Love what you do, or don’t do it. Work at something you find challenging and that you enjoy. When you have passion for what you do, it isn’t work, it’s fun!
When my kids were young, they used to call me a “Work-aholic”. But, I didn’t & still don’t consider myself a work-aholic. I wasn’t working. I was having fun. I was doing what I loved and got paid well for it.
- Love – Find a person with your passion for your values, likes, hobbies, etc. to share your life with.
If you look for someone to share your life with, look for someone that shares the same passion for things like values, likes, dislikes, etc. Passion shared will keep you going through the tough times.
- Life – Have a passion FOR life. You never know when you will leave this world. Enjoy life. If you have something you want to do, do it now! There may not be a tomorrow.
